In our roastery, every batch is guided by intention - clarity, balance, sweetness, and a profile that fits our standards.

Sometimes, during testing or profile development, a roast lands a little lighter or a little darker than we aimed for. The coffee is still excellent, just not exactly what we want to release as a regular Melö coffee.

Instead of wasting it, we offer it here - as a 1 kg Test Roast Batch.

What you get

• 1 kg of freshly roasted specialty coffee that didn’t match our exact target profile, but still comes from the same high-quality green coffee we use in all Melö releases.
• A chance to explore a batch that’s slightly different - a bit lighter, a bit darker, or simply a test profile.
• A significantly better price, because you’re joining us in reducing waste and giving every coffee a fair chance.

Is this defective coffee?
No. It’s great coffee - simply roasted slightly outside of our intended profile.

What variety or origin will I get?
It varies depending on what we’re roasting. It’s part of the fun.

Is the packaging different?
No - the coffee is packaged just like our regular releases, with a clear roast date.
